Sunrises are one of the most beautiful events of nature that we seldom appreciate. Dawn breaks the cold darkness of the previous night and opens the soul of man in his struggle of life. Sunrise introduces the feelings, emotions, thoughts, and metaphors that I had related myself to which these sketches portray. For me, when the sun is dawning everything is calm, quiet, and peaceful. The light rays penetrate through clouds and are followed by the golden glow of a bright orange globe. I have always heard the chattering of birds in the summertime and that serenity is represented in the brief tremolos. After the sun lifts off from the horizon, stillness is present; before the new day is allowed to begin and momentarily pauses.
