Commissioned by the Columbus Symphony (OH) Junior Strings, Robert Gillespie, director, Spirited Dance is a rhythmic romp which will delight your players and audience. A lovely lyrical melody is played first by the violins and violas, and later the cellos and basses accompanied by a driving eight-note rhythm. This is excellent teaching and concert material from a highly respected composer.
