Their function is to make audience noises such as whispering, cough drop wrappers, squeaking chairs, etc. As the piece progresses the audience begins to realize that these noises are deliberate and a part of the performance. An additional performer enters the auditorium, crossing in front of the soloist. This piece comes off well as a satire and has been well-recieved by audiences! This file contains the audience performers' score and the flute soloist parts.
