"Song of Ruth" uses the Biblical text of Ruth 1: 16-17. The words are spoken by Ruth to her mother-in-law (who encourages Ruth to move on with her life after Ruth's husband died). The theme is used in modern weddings as it relates to the bride and groom and is appropriate as such because of its deeper meaning. This is a revision of the earlier edition as a high vocal solo with piano accompaniment and includes string quartet (parts included). The song is appropriate in any vocal concert, church service, wedding, recital, etc. It is medium difficulty for vocalist and pianist and somewhat contemporary in structure and harmony. The audio clip is the a computer rendering in Finale.
