possibly by ca.1890, definitely published by 1911 when the original appears (Monatsbericht (1912), p.4 - 1911/12) (not nec. for the first time). Appears in HMB twice rapidly, in mid-1911 and then in early 1912 in an arrangement for string trio (presumably the Pagels arrangement above?).
