Låttexter: The Naked Brothers Band. Lonely Leafless Tree.
Lonely Leafless Tree
Standing in front
Of me
Do you wonder why
The seasons always change
Somethings in life
Which used to be gold
Are not really
Gold any more
Sure, they may be gold
To everyone else
But their not
Gold to me
Colorful leaves
Which leaves trees
And spread around
Are people
Who think they're
Too good to
Be your friends
Why do the
Seasons always change
Why do they
Never stay the same
That's just kike
Seeing a lonely
Leafless tree
Standing in the
Middle of my
Sidewalk
If you think
About it
Seasons are people
People go from
Being nice and kind
To being mean
And cruel
The wheather goes
From hot to cold
Seasons go from
Winter, spring, fall
And then to
Winter again
Why do the
Seasons always change
Why do they
Never stay the same
That's just kike
Seeing a lonely
Leafless tree
Standing in the
Middle of my sidewalk
Looks so sad
seeing a
Lonely Leafless tree
Without any leaves
Which it could grow
One leaf to keep
It company
Just one leaf to keep
It comfortable
So I'm asking
All my fellow raindrops
To rain from the sky
An make leaves
Grow on this
Lonely Leafless tree
When I woke
Up this morning
I was so glad
To see leaves
On the tree
There were even flowers
And to my
Sudden suprise
In the middle
Of each flower
Were strawberries
Strawberries were raining
From the sky
And there were strawberries
All over my
Ceiling and my walls
(medium fast music plays)
We were playing cards
Rolling marbles
Listening to Jazz
On the radio
Saw a girl
Dancing down the streets
Playing with her
Tamborine
Was always amazed
At the colors
Of the sun
Inside the tree house
Were going to party
All night long
Going to enjoy
Sunlight Blues
Use every bit
Of our
Imagination
In the treehouse
Of the maple tree
Maple tree
Maple treeeeeeeeeeee
Why do the
Seasons always change
Why do they
Never stay the same
That's just like
Seeing a lonely
Leafless tree
Standing in the
Middle of my sidewalk
Not only does
This tree grow
Flowers and leaves
From the water
Of the sky
They grow from
The juiciness
Of strawberries
And the sweetness
Of maple syrup
Standing in front
Of me
Do you wonder why
The seasons always change
Somethings in life
Which used to be gold
Are not really
Gold any more
