Actually, four fourths stack up a bit too high for the average hand to play with rapidity and accuracy, so I have stacked up the fourths in two segments, which makes for 2 fourths a whole-step apart, an artifact rather than an intended consequence of this interval's usage. A melody tone is at the top and bottom of each quartal structure, making a tune that flows while the fourths go rolling by. Wide dynamic contrasts here as well. Clusters move in not-quite-mirrored contrary motion, and the symmetry in the melodic sections is staggered rather than direct, so as to make for a bit of a phase effect.
